Hyderabad: The Chaitanyapuri police caught two automobile thieves involved in about 30 offences here on Tuesday. Officials recovered 30 two-wheelers, altogether worth Rs 46 lakh from them.
The arrested persons are Mohd Shaik (21), an AC technician, and Mohd Imran (23), an auto driver, both residents of Golconda. The absconding person is Imran.
According to the police, the suspects targeted bikes parked in residential colonies and stole them. They sold the vehicles and made easy money.
The suspects are involved in cases in Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Rachakonda, Vikarabad, Nizamabad and Sangareddy.
The duo was arrested at Mohan Nagar during a vehicle check when it came to selling a stolen motorcycle at Chaitanyapuri ‘X’ road.
As per their confession, cops recovered a total of 30 motorcycles. Efforts are on to nab the absconding person.
