Autorickshaw driver hangs self from tree at Manugur

Mahesh was to appear in court in connection with a theft case. His body was found hanging from a tree on the Government Degree College premises

Kothagudem: An autorickshaw driver died by suicide at Manugur in the district by hanging himself from a tree on the Government Degree College premises.

The deceased identified as T Mahesh (26) was said to have resorted to the extreme step on Monday night and the local people who found his body hanging from the tree informed the local police. He was supposed to appear for a court hearing that day in connection with a theft case.

He worked in Kothagudem town and came to Manugur two days ago to appear before the court.

The local youth were said to have admonished him for roaming in the night and he got upset at that. However, the exact reason for his extreme step was not yet known.

Based on a complaint by his family members, the Manugur police booked a case and began an investigation.
