Ayodhya – Kashi: Punya Kshetra Yatra-themed Bharat Gaurav train commences from Secunderabad

Hyderabad: The Bharat Gaurav train under the theme ‘Ayodhya – Kashi: Punya Kshetra Yatra’ has commenced its journey from the Secunderabad railway station here on Wednesday.

Flagged by passengers, T Vittal Reddy and T Kusuma Kumari, in the presence of SCR officials, the train will cover pilgrimage places of Gaya, Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayagraj.


Officials said the tour offers a unique opportunity for rail passengers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to have darshan of Ram Janmabhoomi (Ayodhya) and one of the Jyotirlinga (Kashi Vishwanath Temple) for spiritual enlightenment or do the Pind Pradan rituals (paying homage to their ancestors) at Gaya.

Apart from Secunderabad, the train is provided boarding and aligning facility at Bhongir, Jangaon, Kazipet, Warangal, Mahbubabad, Dornakal, Khammam, Madhira in Telangana and Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Tuni, Duvvada, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh.

The IRCTC has also announced another tourist package namely “Maha Kumbh Punya Kshetra Yatra” Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train starting from Secunderabad railway station.

The train will cover famous Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Kashi Vishalakshi and Annapurna Devi at Varanasi, Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi, and Hanuman Garhi at Ayodhya.

Railway authorities said the tour package includes all travel facilities, rail as well as road transport, accommodation, catering.

*Varanasi: Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Kashi Vishalakshi and Annapurna Devi

*Ayodhya: Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi, Hanuman Garhi

*Tour Date: 19.01.2025 from Secunderabad railway station

*Duration: 7 Nights/8 days from 19.01.2025 to 26.01.2025
