Baby girl’s body found in Shamirpet lake

Hyderabad: The body of a newborn girl was found in the lake in Shamirpet on the city outskirts here on Saturday.
Police said the newborn, aged around to six months, was suspected to have been dumped by her parents. It is yet to be known if she was thrown into the lake alive or her body dumped after she died.
The incident is suspected to have occurred about three days ago.
The locals who noticed the body alerted the Shamirpet police, who shifted it to the hospital for autopsy.
