Bakrid: Nalgonda SP urges to follow Covid norms at Eidgahs

Nalgonda: Superintendent of Police A V Ranganath has urged Muslims participating in the special prayers in Eidgahs on the day of Bakrid on Wednesday to follow Covid norms of physical distancing and others.
Accompanied by Muslim elders and Eidgah committee members, Ranganath inspected the Eidgah at Munugole road on the outskirts of Nalgonda district and also monitored the arrangements for Bakrid prayers.
He asked the religious leaders to ensure strict implementation of Covid norms at prayers in Eidgahs on Bakrid. The police would take up all required arrangements at Eidgahs which would be sanitised by the departments concerned, he added.
Stating that Nalgonda was synonymous with communal harmony, he said that people should celebrate Bakrid in a peaceful atmosphere. The police department would extend its services for the purpose, he added.
