Suryapet: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday exuded confidence that the party would win the Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly by-election.
Sanjay was in Huzurnagar to meet BJP leaders who were released from jail in the Gurrampode Thanda land issue case.
The BJP leader said the party would take the Nagarjuna Sagar by-poll as a challenge and win the seat. Referring to Dubbaka and GHMC elections, he claimed that the people of the State were looking at BJP as a political alternative to the TRS.
“BJP leaders and workers should strive to ensure victory to the BJP candidate, whose name will be announced by the party soon. We will show the party strength in the by-election to Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly constituency,” he said.
Stating that the 20 BJP leaders went to jail for making efforts to protect tribal lands from land grabbers, he said: “We will continue to stand by the tribals on the land issue.”
Earlier, SWAEROES registered their protest with the BJP president for his comments against RS Praveen Kumar, secretary of Telangana Residential Educational Society.
