Bandi slammed for remarks against Telangana Police

Speaking at a media conference here in Suryapet, Gopi Reddy said that the political leaders should not talk degrading the policemen.

Suryapet: Telangana State Police Officers Association State president Y Gopi Reddy on Sunday condemned the comments made by BJP State president Bandi Sanjay and the Congress leader Jagga Reddy against the police.

Speaking at a media conference here in Suryapet, Gopi Reddy said that the political leaders should not talk degrading the policemen. The policemen sacrificed their lives in fighting against those who disrespect the law. About 80 police persons also died of Covid as they discharged their duties during the lockdown.

Policemen were also humans and their sentiments would also hurt if political leaders talks in such a manner. He reminded the comments made by Bandi Sanjay and Jagga Reddy against the police.

He said that it was unfortunate that lawmakers were making anti-law comments which would impact the law and order. The political leaders should not make comments against the police for their temporary benefits. If any leader acted violating the law, the political leaders can complain to the higher officials and courts.

The association Suryapet district president B Ramachander Goud and secretary G Venkanna were also present.
