Bangladesh national held with fake passport at RGI Airport in Hyderabad

Das, a Bangladesh national, illegally crossed the country's borders and entered Bhubaneswar in Odisha. He stayed there for some time and created fake identity documents and obtained an Indian passport in the name of Arfan Rai.

Hyderabad: A Bangladesh national was arrested by immigration officials for allegedly trying to travel to Italy with a fake Indian passport at the RGI Airport on Monday.

As per available information, Das, a Bangladesh national, illegally crossed the country’s borders and entered Bhubaneswar in Odisha. He stayed there for some time and created fake identity documents and obtained an Indian passport in the name of Arfan Rai.

He booked a ticket to Italy on Gulf Airlines GF-275 flight with the fake passport and reached the airport to board the flight. The immigration officials became suspicious about Das’s behavior and documents during the checking and detained him. After a thorough check of the passport and documents, he was arrested. The RGIA police registered a case and are investigating.
