BC leaders clash at Telangana BJP office over photo dispute
A press meet at the BJP State headquarters in Hyderabad turned chaotic when leaders of Backward Classes organisations clashed over a disagreement regarding the display of photographs. The altercation, which occurred in the presence of senior leaders including R Krishnaiah and N Ramchander Rao, escalated into a physical confrontation before being brought under control.
Hyderabad: Leaders of Backward Classes (BC) organisations entered into an altercation with each other at the BJP State headquarters in Nampally on Wednesday, during a press meet attended by BC association leaders and party members. The incident led to a brief chaos before the situation was brought under control.
The altercation occurred soon after BC leader and Rajya Sabha MP R Krishnaiah and BC representatives met BJP State president N Ramchander Rao to seek the party’s support for the Statewide bandh scheduled for October 18. The meeting concluded amicably, but tempers flared when disagreements arose allegedly over the display of leaders’ photographs.
Verbal arguments between two factions of BC leaders quickly escalated into a physical confrontation, in the presence of Krishnaiah and Ramchander Rao. The situation turned chaotic before senior leaders intervened and brought matters under control.
The videos of the altercation went viral on social media, with netizens criticising the BC leaders for infighting.
