Three-quarters around the world say their country’s society is divided and majorly more divided now than it was ten years ago. Differences in gender, culture, religion, language, rich and poor and many more, but the Covid-19 situation has brought the entire world on to one common platform, irrespective of the variations we observe.
The ever-busy life of men and women resulting in hypertension and other health issues, growing distance in relationships, decline in empathy towards fellow men, wastage of resources and pollution is observed in many of our lives. The sudden halt of the routine in the pandemic situation had put thinking caps on every one of us. For instance, the earning of a daily wage earner is mainly based on the actual working days and the incomes of these families have implications, not just on their family but also far away through remittances to their relatives in rural areas. After looking at the critical situation of these informal economy workers, had given a thought process in mind – we spend a lot of money to have outside food, buy extra accessories to add to the existing, throw parties, luxury travels and others, but these workers might earn very less per day to meet the needs and their livelihood depends on it. This reflects light upon the value of money, value of giving, value of being compassionate, conventional and display generous behaviour.
Humans don’t cope well with isolation, it severely affects mental health and the quarantine period had shown impact both on physical and psychological aspects.
Talking with loved ones can help reduce the anxiety and instances of feeling down. Covid situation has given scope to spend with family and connect dearer ones with technology.
We need to know, that we are part of society and learn our responsibilities as good citizens. Our collaborative actions and thoughts have many effects on the overall society, so our responsibility as a citizen of our country is to care for the society and also to unite the entire country.
