Hyderabad: In a tragic turn of events, two intermediate students, both aged 17, died by suicide in Vanasthalipuram within a span of 24 hours.
According to police, a boy from Sharda Nagar, studying at a junior college in Dilsukhnagar, ended his life on Tuesday night after failing in his first-year exams.
The next day, his close friend, a girl from Sama Nagar, visited his house, saw his body, and broke down in grief. Later that night, she too died by suicide at her residence.
Vanasthalipuram Police said investigations are underway, and both families are devastated by the double tragedy.
Authorities have urged parents and students to seek timely counselling and support in cases of exam stress and emotional distress.
