Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based Beyond Garage, which offers vehicle repair and servicing solutions to individual customers, is seeing a large opportunity in the B2B space, catering to e-commerce and fleet rental companies that saw a surge in activity after Covid-19 outbreak. The company also caters to corporates and residential apartments.
The company, which currently has over 500 B2B partners in Hyderabad and Bengaluru, plans to spread its presence to over 15 cities in the next one year.
Mahmud Kotebagil, CEO & co-founder, Beyond Garage, told Telangana Today, “We are collaborating with a lot of corporates. As the percentage of the staff returning to office will improve gradually, there will be a spike in demand. Meanwhile, we have established collaborations with several apartments in Hyderabad and Bengaluru to serve residents right there. We have also tied up with fleet rental companies such as Vogo and furniture & appliance rental companies such as RentoMojo. We are now exploring opportunities to serve food delivery companies as well.”
Expansion plans
“We will soon foray into Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata. We will also expand into tier 2 and tier 3 locations around these four large cities. We plan to be in 15 plus cities within the next one year. We will enter AP and Maharashtra by the end of 2021,” Kotebagil added.
Pavan Balekundri, head of operations (HOO), Beyond Garage, said, “We have made a significant investment in FY 2020-21 to improve the customer journey and create the required supply side for the business. Further, we expect to infuse large funds towards technology and expanding the business.”
Service portfolio
The company services everything related to car and bike service at doorstep and garage. Also, it provides spare parts supplied by vendors (who procure from original equipment manufacturers) to both garages, and individual car and bike owners.
The company’s mobile application helps users to track and manage the complete service on the go. Also, emergency service can be availed. Kotebagil added, the company is looking to use artificial intelligence and data analytics to suggest customers on the specific servicing required for the right upkeep of vehicles.
When asked if the company has started catering to electric vehicles too, Balekundri said, “We have started providing electric vehicle maintenance. But the EV market in India is very early or new at the moment, and we believe it will take at least five years to have considerable market growth in this segment.”
