Bhadrachalam temple gears up for Sri Rama Navami celebrations
Elaborate arrangements have been made for Sri Rama Navami celebrations at Bhadrachalam temple. Talambralu preparation, distribution counters and security measures are in place, while Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is set to attend and launch development works worth Rs 351 crore.

Kothagudem: All is set for Sri Rama Navami celebrations at Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Devasthanam at Bhadrachalam in Kothagudem district.
Sri Rama Navami, the celestial wedding of Lord Rama and Goddess Seetha Devi, would be celebrated in Abhijit lagnam on March 27 followed by Sri Rama Pattabhishekam on March 28 as part of Bhadradri Temple Brahmotsavams.
Devotees and volunteers prepared ‘Talambralu’ (akshintalu) starting on ‘Holi Pournami’ using rice mixed with turmeric, kumkum, ghee, bukka, gulal, attar and other aromatic substances. Devotees from Telangana and AP also presented several hundred kilos of ‘Goti talambralu’ (talambralu prepared by removing paddy husk with hands).
The temple executive officer (EO) K Damodar Rao informed that nearly 300 quintals of rice were used this year for preparing the talambralu. Two lakh packets of talambralu and one lakh laddus were prepared for distribution to devotees on Sri Rama Navami.
Eight counters for distribution of talambralu and five counters for laddu prasadam distribution have been set up at the temple and other places in the town. Mithila Stadium, where the celestial wedding would take place, is decked up.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is scheduled to present silk clothes and mutyla talambralu to the deities on Sri Rama Navami. He would launch development works worth Rs 351 crore in the first phase of redevelopment and rejuvenation of Bhadradri Temple and town.
Expansion and infrastructure development of Godavari ghat, temple complex and surrounding areas would be taken up in the first phase. In all, Rs 586 crore would be spent for the purpose in three phases.
Kothagudem SP B Rohith Raju informed that security arrangements with nearly 2,000 police personnel are being put in place to ensure smooth conduct of the celebrations. A QR code and an online link https://ramanavami.4sightai.com were launched to help devotees locate and reach parking lots, Kalyana Mandapam, designated sectors and counters for laddus and talambralu.
