Kothagudem: The authorities at the Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Temple at Bhadrachalam in the district proposed to increase the rates of five types of ‘Prasada bhogams’ (offerings made by devotees to the presiding deity).
Temple Executive Officer B Sivaji, in a statement here on Tuesday, said that in view of the hike in essential commodities, it was decided to increase the rates for the offerings. He sought suggestions/objections from devotees regarding the decision by Oct 15 by contacting the temple office number: 08743 232428.
If no suggestions/objections are received from devotees by then, the increased rates would be implemented. The proposed increase in the rates per kg of offering is as follows; chakkera pongali bhogam-Rs 400 (old rate Rs 300), pulihora bhogam- Rs 250 (Rs 150), laddu bhogam- Rs 700 (Rs 500), appalamala- Rs 300 (Rs 200) and vadamala-Rs 300 (old rate Rs 200), Sivaji said.
