Bharat Scouts and Guides Telangana records 176 pc membership growth in 2025-26
The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG), Telangana State Association, has registered a 176 per cent increase in membership, reaching 47,448 members across 1,494 units in 2025-26.

Hyderabad: The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG), Telangana State Association, has increased its membership by 176 percent to 47,448 members across 1,494 units during 2025–26.
BSG chief commissioner M Dana Kishore and BSG secretary Dr. E Naveen Nicolas who met and briefed Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Saturday said significant progress has also been made in infrastructure development.
A new training hall and auditorium at the State Training Centre, Jeedimetla, is expected to be completed by the end of October. The project received Rs. 50 lakh through Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) CSR funding and Rs. 35 lakh in financial assistance from the Governor.
To expand BSG activities in government schools, a budget of over Rs. 25.97 crore has been sanctioned under Samagra Shiksha / PM SHRI. This will support the training of 6,000 Scout Masters and Guide Captains and the implementation of BSG activities in 3,253 government schools, with a projected participation of over 1.28 lakh students, they said.
The officials also informed the Governor that the BSG State Headquarters at Domalguda has also undergone extensive beautification and improvement works. In addition, the BSG Model High School at Domalguda would receive major infrastructure improvements through a Rs. 2.5 crore CSR grant from Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
Further, the Governor launched the new website of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Telangana State Association.
