Bhupalpally: One washed away in Godavari river, five rescued
The missing person, Veeraswamy and his relatives came to the ghat at Kaleshwaram to immerse the ashes of a deceased relative in the river and were taking a bath with five others
Jayashankar Bhupalpally: One person was washed away in Godavari while five others were rescued near Kaleshwaram in the district on Sunday. The missing person was identified as Jakkula Veeaswamy (45) of Singaram village of Inavole mandal in Warangal Rural district.
Veeraswamy and his family members and relatives came to the ghat at Kaleshwaram to immerse the ashes of a deceased relative in the river and were taking a bath with five others. But he was washed away while the others, who also faced the risk of being washed away, were rescued by people present and other relatives there.
On coming to know about the incident, the police rushed to the spot and launched a search for the missing person.
