The institute launched a 10-day training programme for capacity-building of nursing staff to take on the anticipated third wave of COVID-19

Yadadri-Bhongir: The Department of Paediatrics at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bibinagar, launched a 10-day training programme for capacity-building of nursing staff to take on the anticipated third wave of COVID-19.

Inaugurating the training programme, Executive Director of AIIMS (Bibinagar) Dr Vikas Bhatia underlined the need for preparedness to face the anticipated third wave of COVID-19.


Dr Madhusudan and Dr Mounika Reddy, both trained paediatric intensivists are assisting in the process of setting up a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit to take care of children between 0-18 years with severe Covid-19 infection and its complications including Multisystem inflammatory Syndrome (MIS-C) in children.

Dean Dr Rahul Narang and Medical Superintendent Dr. Neeraj Agarwal also attended the programme.
