Yadadri-Bhongir: Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya on Friday exuded confidence that All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Bibinagar would soon become a focal point for modern health care services in the State.

Inaugurating Academic Section on the campus of AIIMS, Dattatreya said that Bibinagar AIIMS was developed in 200 acres by the government and also provided modern medical equipment, lab and infrastructure in it. He said Bibinagar AIIMS was located at a strategic point, which was literally like a central point to villages of surrounding districts.

He said that the Centre has taken up the setting up of new AIIMS with an aim to provide quality health care services to all in the country. He reminded that the number of AIIMS were increased to 25 from eight in the last seven years across the country. He appreciated the government of Telangana for its decision to implement Ayushman Bharat scheme.

He also appreciated the doctors at Bibinagar AIIMS for their services during the Covid pandemic. The elected representatives should work for the development of hospitals irrespective of politics.

AIIMS Executive Director Vikas Bhatiya, Yadadri-Bhongir district Collector Pamela Satpathy and others also attended the programme.
