Here’s what you must watch in lockdown on OTT platforms
As the lockdown has been extended for another 10 days, we need to make sure we keep ourselves entertained without getting bored and depressed at home. And what’s a better way to chill with family or even in isolation than catching up on the latest releases on OTT platforms?
We curated a list of must-watch movies and shows on Netflix and Amazon Prime Video so that you can avoid spending hours deciding what to watch.
The Boys and Invincible are two must-watch shows on Amazon Prime. Both the shows have different takes on the superhero storyline, where superheroes can also be evil and driven to be egoistic by their godlike powers and personas. There is a lot of violence, gore, and R-rated content. Not recommended for kids and those under 18.
Army of the Dead, Jupiter’s Legacy and Castlevania cannot be missed on Netflix.
Zack Snyder’s return to the zombie genre has shades of his first film Dawn of the Dead; however, the storyline misses out at times and isn’t well written. The heavy dose of action, the zombie effects, and the diverse cast make it worth the time and for a good watch. Also, watch out for the Easter eggs, end credits, and maybe a possible sequel in the works?
Castlevania is an epic four-season animated show that is dark, gritty, and humorous at times and has a lot of gore and violence in an animated show. The characters and the storytelling are great. People into anime will definitely enjoy this show.
Jupiter’s Legacy is probably the response Netflix has to Amazon Prime’s superhero shows. It is about a world run by superheroes who stick to a set of codes. The interesting part of the show is the flashbacks and how they show the origin story of the superheroes and their powers. Great twist at the end of the first season and viewers can’t wait for the second season.
