Bizarre double murder in Telangana: Man killed by two wives over past killing

A man in Janagaon was hacked to death by his two wives after he allegedly murdered one wife's mother. The incident occurred in Pittaloni Gudem village. Police have detained the women and launched an investigation into the brutal killing.

Janagaon: In a shocking incident, a man was allegedly hacked to death by his two wives late Monday night in Pittaloni Gudem village, Lingala Ghanpur mandal, Janagaon district, following a dispute over an earlier murder.

According to the police, the deceased, identified as Kanakaiah, was previously married to a woman named Gouramma from Pittaloni Gudem. He later married another woman, Chukkamma alias Sirisha, and had been living with both wives in the same village.

Around two months ago, Kanakaiah was accused of murdering Sirisha’s mother in Nalgonda district and had been absconding since then. Both wives had remained in Pittaloni Gudem during his absence.

On Monday night, Kanakaiah reportedly returned to the village, triggering an argument between him and his two wives over the alleged murder. The argument escalated, and in a fit of rage, the two women are suspected to have killed Kanakaiah using boulders and an axe. They allegedly disposed of his body outside the village.

Police teams reached the spot soon after being alerted and took both Gouramma and Sirisha into custody. The body has been recovered and sent for postmortem. An investigation is currently underway.
