Hyderabad: BJP State president N Ramchander Rao alleged that the ruling Congress party had resorted to intimidation of voters and candidates in the municipal elections.
“The Congress party has a long and troubling history of intimidation — from the dark days of the Emergency to the present. Time and again, they have attempted to intimidate and silence their opponents,” he said.
The BJP State president, along with Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, addressed media persons here on Wednesday.
“The Congress party’s complete silence on the tragic incident in Makthal is alarming. They have neither condemned the incident nor expressed any remorse. This silence speaks volumes about their insensitivity and inhuman approach,” he said.
Meanwhile, the TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud exuded confidence that the ruling Congress party was poised to secure victory in the municipal elections.
He said the elections had reinforced the Congress wave, attributing the anticipated victory to the people’s faith in people-centric governance.
