BJP corporator accused of violating GHMC’s two children norm for polls

At a press conference here on Tuesday, Suryanarayana alleged that Venkatesh also committed an offense by forging the birth certificate of his fourth daughter.

Hyderabad: After the Jambagh division BJP corporator, now it is the turn of Jubilee Hills division BJP Corporator D. Venkatesh of being accused of violating the two children norm for contesting the GHMC elections.

Jubilee Hills TRS candidate Kajang Suryanarayana has filed a petition in court seeking the declaration of Venkatesh as winner in the December 1 poll illegal, null and void under section 21 B of the GHMC Act for having more than two children.


He has also filed a petition in court appealing to restrain Venkatesh from  taking oath as a GHMC corporator.

At a press conference here on Tuesday, Suryanarayana alleged that Venkatesh also committed an offense by forging the birth certificate of his fourth daughter. He also requested the police to file a criminal case against Venkatesh.
