BJP drone hits honeybee hive, four party workers injured in Karimnagar

Four BJP workers were injured after a swarm of honey bees attacked participants of a padayatra near Konaraopet in Ramadugu mandal of Karimnagar district. The bees were disturbed after a drone camera accidentally hit a honeycomb during the procession

Karimnagar: Four BJP workers were injured when a swarm of honey bees attacked a BJP padayatra near Konaraopet in Ramadugu mandal on Saturday.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, along with newly elected sarpanches, councillors and corporators, had taken out a padayatra to the Kondagattu temple in the name of ‘Anjanna Aashirvada Yatra’. When the yatra reached the spot, BJP activists flew a drone camera to capture visuals of the procession. However, the drone accidentally hit a honeycomb located on a tree. The disturbed bees swarmed out of the hive and attacked the BJP workers participating in the yatra.

Four workers sustained injuries in the attack and were shifted to the Karimnagar District Headquarters Hospital. While two were discharged after treatment, the remaining two are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
