Karimnagar: BJP Mahila Morcha activists on Thursday staged a protest at the Satavahana University demanding action against Prof Surepalli Sujatha, a member of the Telangana State Education and faculty at the varsity, accusing her of posting a message against Operation Sindoor on her Facebook account.

Mahila Morcha workers led by district president Choppari Jayasree staged a protest in front of the university gate and raised slogans against Prof. Sujatha. BJYM activists also burnt an effigy of the professor. Mahila Morcha leaders also went around the university trying to meet Prof Sujatha and question her on her comments but could not find her.

Later, they submitted a representation to the university authorities asking them to suspend Sujatha.

On the other hand, BJP leaders led by district president Gangadi Krishna Reddy submitted a representation to Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam requesting him to take action against Sujatha.
