Minister for Animal Husbandry Talasani Srinivas Yadav launches deworming drive of cattle at Akupamula village of Kodada mandal in Suryapet district on Saturday.
Kodad: Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Saturday blasted the BJP national general secretary and Telangana in-charge Tarun Chugh for his unsavoury comments against the TRS government.
“We can also speak in the same tone against BJP Union Ministers in New Delhi. But we don’t do it because we believe in democracy, and the people will decide who is good,” he said, speaking to mediapersons in Kodad in Nalgonda district.
Challenging the State BJP leaders to immediately give the interim relief of Rs.25,000 promised to flood-affected families in the city, Srinivas Yadav pointed out that the saffron party had repeatedly promised to give Rs.25,000 during their GHMC election campaign meetings recently, and it was incorporated in their election manifesto too.
“Why are the BJP leaders not speaking about it now? Shall we send the affected families to the houses of all the BJP leaders?” the Minister asked, and sought explanation from the BJP about the total funds brought from Central government for the city’s development.
“We will not tolerate if the BJP leaders continue their tirade against the TRS,” he warned. The BJP, the Minister said, was attempting to derive political mileage in the name of religion and trying to create communal tension in the peaceful city. “The BJP won only Dubbaka Assembly bypoll but the TRS won more seats than the BJP during the GHMC elections apart from winning all municipal and local bodies’ elections and other bypolls conducted in the State since 2014,” he pointed out.
Srinivas Yadav, observing that some parties were trying to create communal tension in Hyderabad and in the State as well, said the BJP made a hue and cry over encroachment of land belonging to a temple in old city, but later it turned out that it was a BJP leader who had encroached upon the land.
Stating that the TRS government introduced several welfare schemes to help the poor and accorded top priority to farmers welfare in the State, he said: “We introduced Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima schemes to benefit farmers apart from introducing welfare schemes including Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak, KCR kits.” Besides, Telangana was the only State that was supplying 24-hours quality power supply to the people, he added.
