Hyderabad: Hundreds of BJYM activists were taken into preventive custody by the police at different places in twin cities on Thursday for attempting to take out separate bike rallies demanding that the State government fill up vacant posts in the government departments.
At JNTU Circle in Kukatpally, mild tension prevailed when the police foiled the attempts of the BJYM activists to take out a rally. Holding party flags, the activists tried to start the rally when the police stopped them. A scuffle took place when the police attempted to stop the activists from starting their rally.
However, the police overpowered them and took them into preventive custody. Another group of activists attempted to organize a rally from LB Nagar but the police thwarted it.
