Hyderabad: Blix Education has launched Blixathon 2026, expanding its school robotics competition to nine Indian cities for the first time.
The competition runs in partnership with the World School Robotics Olympiad (WSRO) and is open to students of Classes 3 to 8. In 2024, Blixathon had 1,500 students competing across 400 teams. By 2025, that had risen to 2,500 students and 500 teams.
Teams are judged on technical build quality, problem-solving, and teamwork, and the competition is scheduled to work around standard school calendars rather than conflict with them.
The competition features three challenges across two stages. At the regional level, junior students compete in Robo-Sprint, while in senior regional challenge, Robo-Precision, teams use a robot to build the tallest possible cup tower in five minutes.
Regional winners advance to the national finals, where teams compete in The Ultimate Maze. Registrations are open at blixathon.in.
