Rajanna-Sircilla: In a bizarre incident, a body that was being taken in a procession for cremation was shifted to hospital for postmortem at Rajannapet of Yellareddypet mandal on Saturday.
According to locals, Erupula Narsaiah (58) died in his home on Friday. Informing the neighbours and villagers that Narsaiah died of a heart stroke, family members made arrangements for his final rites on Saturday. While the body was being taken to the crematorium in a procession, the police intervened and shifted the body to hospital for postmortem.
This was after locals, who found black marks around Narsaiah’s neck, alerted the police. Further details are awaited.
