Boiler explosion injures two in Peddapalli rice mill

Two workers were injured when a boiler exploded at Kanakadurga Rice Mill in Peddapalli district’s Katnapally village on Wednesday. The blast damaged godowns, machinery, and stock worth around ₹2 crore. Police and revenue officials inspected the site.

Peddapalli: Two persons were injured when a boiler exploded at Kanakadurga Rice Mill in Katnapally village of Sultanabad mandal on Wednesday morning.

The injured were shifted to a hospital in Karimnagar for treatment. The explosion damaged two godowns, machinery, paddy and rice stored in the mill. Preliminary estimates suggest the loss could be around Rs. 2 crore.

On learning about the incident, police and revenue officials rushed to the spot and inspected the site.
