Bollarum police nab phone snatching gang in Secunderabad

Bollarum police arrested Derangula Ravi and two juveniles for phone snatching in Secunderabad. Ravi, involved in 51 property offences, formed a gang with minors soon after his release from prison. Police recovered stolen phones and launched further investigation

Hyderabad: The Bollarum police apprehended three persons, including two juveniles, who were involved in mobile phone snatching incidents reported in Secunderabad.

According to the police, the trio, Derangula Ravi alias Gaja (24), and his two juvenile associates aged 15 and 17 years, moved around the city and snatched mobile phones from people. Ravi was involved in 51 property offences reported in the city.


“Ravi was involved in several cases reported in the city. After his release from prison three weeks ago, he formed a gang with two juveniles and started snatching mobile phones,” said DCP (North) S Rashmi Perumal.
