Boman Irani shared stories from his personal and professional life, leaving the audience both touched and motivated. Known for his wit and humility, he opened up about his early struggles with dyslexia, a speech defect and shyness.

“I was a shy, dyslexic kid until 7th grade and had a lisp until the 10th. But my mother discovered what made me happy—the stage. I loved the limelight and making my voice heard,” he said.

He spoke about how he used singing and even practiced with pebbles in his mouth to overcome his speech issues. Despite these challenges, he debuted in films at the age of 41 and built a successful career.

“I wasn’t a prodigy. I wasn’t exceptionally talented. But I gave my best to everything I did. Whatever wisdom I have, I gained through acting,” he shared.

“Not everyone will be like Shakuntala Devi, Lata Mangeshkar, or Virat Kohli. Every person is different. And that should be celebrated,” he said.

He also recalled how he got his iconic role in Munna Bhai MBBS, a film he initially didn’t like the title of but which turned out to be a milestone in his career.
