Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Friday after an Emirates flight EK-526, arriving from Dubai allegedly received a bomb threat through email.
Acting on the alert, the pilot safely landed the aircraft at Shamshabad and informed the local airport authorities.
As a precautionary measure, all passengers were immediately deboarded and shifted to an isolation zone by CISF and airport security teams. Bomb Squad and Dog Squad teams rushed to the spot and began a thorough inspection of the aircraft and luggage.
Officials said standard protocol has been activated and the aircraft remains under intensive checks.
