Hyderabad: Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy directed officials to make elaborate arrangements at temples for the ensuing Bonalu festivities and wanted the celebrations to reflect Telangana’s culture and traditions.
The Minister, along with Animal Husbandry Minister T. Srinivas Yadav and Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali, conducted a meeting with officials here on Tuesday on the arrangements to be made at temples for the convenience of devotees.
The Endowments Minister said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao had released Rs.15 crore as financial assistance and instructed the officials to make good use of these funds to organise the festivities on a grand note.
Temple Committees and officials should make elaborate arrangements, especially queue lines, provision of water and other facilities for devotees. Covid guidelines should be strictly implemented and temple managements should ensure that devotees wear masks and maintain physical distancing, he said.
All the temples should be decked up with flowers and illumination. Funds should be released to the temple committee on time for making all arrangements. Department of Culture should organise different cultural programmes during the festivities, said the Minister.
