Boozing on duty: Two forest officials suspended, two outsourcing staff sacked in Jagtial

While Deputy Forest Range Officer Arun Kumar and Mutyampet Beat Officer Sairam were placed under suspension, outsourcing staff Laxman and Rehaman were sacked. The forest officials along with other staff had celebrated a party in the district headquarters office on Friday night.

Jagtial: The Forest department has suspended two district officials and terminated the services of two outsourcing staff on charges of consuming liquor on the office premises.

While Deputy Forest Range Officer Arun Kumar and Mutyampet Beat Officer Sairam were placed under suspension, outsourcing staff Laxman and Rehaman were sacked. The forest officials along with other staff had celebrated a party in the district headquarters office on Friday night. Knowing about the incident, a section of media persons visited the spot. After seeing the scribes, a few fled from the spot while the others entered an argument with them.

As a video of the party went viral on social media platforms, higher officials ordered for an enquiry. State Vigilance DFO Rajashekhar and Flying Squad DFO Ravinder on Monday conducted an enquiry and submitted a report to higher officials, based on which the suspension and termination orders were issued.
