Boxer Nikhat Zareen appointed as DSP, submits joining report to DGP

Hyderabad: Indian boxer Nikhat Zareen who was recently appointed as the Deputy Superintendent of Police by the government, reported to Director General of Police, Dr. Jitender here on Wednesday

The DGP announced the appointment of the ace boxer with a post on social media platform ‘X’. “We proudly welcome two-time world boxing champion and Olympic athlete, Nikhat Zareen, as she takes on her new role as Deputy Superintendent of Police (Special Police). Hailing from Nizamabad, she submitted her joining report to me today,” he said.

The two-time world champion has been at the forefront of the sport in India over the past few years and also managed to bring home the Commonwealth Games Gold at the Birmingham Games.
