Boy crushed to death under shop shutter in Hyderabad

Sources said the boy identified as Rajesh was playing near the shutter at the shop, where his father Arjun works as a security guard, when the mishap occurred.

Hyderabad: In a freak mishap, a boy died after he reportedly got crushed under an automatic shutter at an automobile showroom at Anjaiah Nagar in Raidurgam here on Wednesday morning.

Sources said the boy identified as Rajesh was playing near the shutter at the shop, where his father Arjun works as a security guard, when the mishap occurred.

Police said someone who did not see the child playing near the automatic shutter switched it on and the machine started rolling. The child got trapped underneath and was crushed to death.

The Raidurgam police are investigating.
