Brothers’ quarrel over funeral expenses ends in murder in Hyderabad
A quarrel between two brothers over sharing funeral expenses escalated into violence at Champapet in Hyderabad, leading to the death of the elder sibling.
Hyderabad: A dispute between two brothers allegedly over sharing their father’s funeral expenses ended in murder at Kummari Basti in Champapet under the Saroornagar police station limits.
According to information available, Venkatesh (28) and his younger brother Shiva (26) had been frequently quarrelling over the expenses incurred for their father’s funeral earlier this year. The dispute reportedly intensified when Shiva allegedly failed to contribute his share towards the expenses.
During a fresh argument, Shiva allegedly attacked Venkatesh with a pair of scissors, leaving him critically injured. Venkatesh succumbed to the injuries on Saturday.
Following the incident, Shiva reportedly fled the spot. The Saroornagar police registered a case and are investigating. Efforts are on to trace and nab the suspect.
