Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday expressed deep sorrow over the tragic demise of Swetcha Votarkar, a journalist and poet known for her contributions to the Telangana movement.

In a statement, Rao described Swetcha’s untimely death as a profound loss and highlighted her growth as a socially conscious poet and journalist. He extended his heartfelt condolences to her family, particularly noting the grief of her parents, Shankar and Sridevi, who were active participants in the Telangana statehood movement.
