Telugu news presenter Swetcha Votarkar found dead at home in Chikkadpally

Swetcha Votarkar, a 35-year-old Telugu TV news presenter, was found dead at her residence in Chikkadpally, Hyderabad. She was reportedly discovered by her daughter after returning from school.

Hyderabad: A Telugu TV news presenter allegedly died by suicide by hanging at her house in Chikkadpally on Friday. Swetcha Votarkar (35), had been living with her mother and school-going daughter in the penthouse of an apartment.

As per available information , her daughter, who returned from school in the evening, grew suspicious when there was no response from inside, even after repeatedly knocking on the bedroom door.

Alerted by her, the neighbours forcibly opened the door and found Swetcha lying unconscious in the room. An ambulance was called and the paramedic staff confirmed her death.

Upon receiving information, Chikkadpally police reached the spot and took up an investigation. The body was shifted to the Gandhi Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
