Hyderabad: Accusing the Congress government in the State of wreaking vengeance by targeting the BRS leadership because of political vendetta, party leaders Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Vemula Prashanth Reddy, and P Sabitha Indra Reddy on Sunday strongly condemned the police raid at the residence of party working president KT Rama Rao‘s brother-in-law Raj Pakala.

Addressing a news conference at Telangana Bhavan, the three former ministers voiced their outrage at the events that followed the housewarming party hosted by Raj Pakala at his new home.

They expressed concern over the worsening state of affairs under the Congress leadership. They criticized the police for attempting to enter the residence without a search warrant and for targeting Raj Pakala and his family.

Srinivas Yadav questioned the legitimacy of the complaint and the subsequent report that mentioned four extra bottles of liquor. They emphasized that targeting individuals and their families was not a proper political practice and accused the police of acting on a conspiracy.

Prashanth Reddy accused the government of conspiring against Rama Rao, stating that they were unable to face him politically. He pointed out that nothing was found at the Janwada farmhouse, yet the police conducted a search at Raj Pakala’s residence in Gachibowli.

He alleged that the government was trying to frame Raj Pakala by creating false evidence and that senior officials were monitoring the situation.

Sabitha Indra Reddy criticized the government for attempting to disrupt personal celebrations and questioned the legality of conducting searches without a warrant.

She highlighted the hypocrisy of the government, noting that while police families were protesting on the streets, the government was busy targeting political opponents.

She condemned the government’s actions as a conspiracy and emphasized that hosting gatherings during festivals was common in Telangana.

Former minister V. Srinivas Goud also condemned the government’s actions, stating that it was common for families in Telangana to host parties during celebrations. He accused the government of engaging in vindictive politics.
