BRS confident of victory in Khairatabad bypoll, says minority cell leader

BRS Minority Cell general secretary Abdul Muqeet Mohiuddin Chanda highlighted development and welfare programmes implemented during the KCR government and expressed confidence in the party's prospects in the Khairatabad Assembly bypoll whenever it is conducted

Hyderabad: BRS Minority Cell general secretary Abdul Muqeet Mohiuddin Chanda said the decade-long rule of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had brought unprecedented development and welfare to Telangana, particularly Hyderabad. He expressed confidence that the BRS candidate would emerge victorious whenever the by-election to the Khairatabad Assembly constituency is held.

Chanda said the KCR government had worked with the objective of improving the living conditions of people across all sections. During the BRS rule, Hyderabad witnessed major road infrastructure projects, flyovers, link roads and other urban development works. The government also addressed the power crisis and ensured uninterrupted power supply, he said.

He said the BRS government had undertaken large-scale recruitment to fill government posts and introduced several welfare programmes for poor and vulnerable sections, increased social security pensions, provided financial assistance to women and extended support to different communities.

Chanda said programmes such as Aasara pensions, Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak, Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima reflected the BRS government’s focus on welfare and social security. “People of Hyderabad have seen the development and welfare delivered during the BRS government and remember it,” he said.

He said the BRS had a strong organisational base in Khairatabad and expressed confidence that voters would support the party whenever the by-election is conducted.
