Sangareddy: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi emerged as the single largest party in Isnapur municipality, winning 12 of the 26 wards, while the Congress secured 10.

Four independent candidates who won their respective wards are set to play a crucial role in the formation of the municipal body.

Congress leader Neelam Madhu’s wife, Kavitha, who was projected as the party’s municipal chairperson candidate, contested from here and won. However, the post of municipal chairperson is still uncertain for her as the Congress fell short of a majority by four wards.

The party also has no ex officio votes in the municipality.
