Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president, K.T. Rama Rao has provided financial assistance to the family of Chukka Ramesh, a resident of Chalvai in Mulugu district, who allegedly died due to harassment by the Congress government.

The aid was handed over by former REDCO Chairman Y. Sathish Reddy, Mulugu constituency in-charge Bade Nagajyothi, and Mulugu district president Laxman Rao during a visit to Ramesh’s residence on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, BRS leaders accused the Congress government of orchestrating Chukka Ramesh’s death, labeling it a “state-sponsored murder.”

They claimed that Ramesh was targeted for exposing irregularities in the Indiramma housing scheme through social media posts. The leaders alleged that the government, fearing the exposure of Minister Seethakka’s mismanagement in Mulugu, incited police action against Ramesh, leading to his untimely death.

The BRS leaders further accused Congress leaders of exploiting the Indiramma housing scheme across the state, extorting money from the poor and demanding bribes ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh for house allotments.

Demanding accountability, the BRS called for an immediate inquiry into Ramesh’s death and strict action against those responsible.
