Hyderabad: The political battle in Telangana has intensified, with the BRS launching a counter-offensive against the Congress government.

Irked by politically motivated police cases against its cadre, the BRS has now turned the tables, filing multiple complaints against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy over his controversial remarks against former Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao.

BRS leaders, including MLAs Vivekananda Goud, Marri Rajasekhar Reddy, and MLC Shambipur Raju, lodged a formal complaint at the Pet Basheerabad police station, demanding legal action against Revanth Reddy.

They accused the Chief Minister of making derogatory and disrespectful comments against Chandrashekhar Rao, who was Telangana’s first Chief Minister.

Similarly, MLC-elect Dasoju Sravan, along with BRS leaders Kuruva Vijay Kumar, Thotla Swamy Yadav, and others also lodged complaints at the Film Nagar police station.

The BRS framed this as a battle against political vendetta, signaling that it will not take attacks on its leadership lightly.

Referring to the BRS supremo, Revanth Reddy had recently said, “He felt he has stature, but people have sent him on a stretcher. He will be soon sent to the mortuary if he does not mend ways.”

The remarks sparked outrage among BRS ranks and netizens alike. People condemned the remarks as distasteful and unbecoming of a Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, the Goshamahal constituency BRS leaders Ashish Kumar Yadav, M Srinivasulu, and others also lodged another complaint against Revanth Reddy at Shahinayathgunj police station seeking action against him for his inappropriate comments against K Chandrashekhar Rao.
