Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has commenced preparations for its proposed massive public meeting in Jagtial on April 20, with party working president KT Rama Rao announcing constituency-wise in-charges to oversee arrangements. He called upon party workers to function in close coordination to ensure the event’s success.
The meeting has assumed political significance, with the BRS aiming to showcase organisational strength and mobilise cadre ahead of its upcoming plenary. The party chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will be addressing the public directly after the party’s silver jubilee year meeting last year. Further, former Minister T Jeevan Reddy will be joining the party along with scores of Congress leaders from the erstwhile Karimnagar district.
Treating the event as a prestigious political exercise, the party has assigned senior leaders to manage operations across key Assembly segments in the undivided Karimnagar district. MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy has been made in-charge for Jagtial, former Minister and MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy for Korutla, MLC L Ravinder Rao for Dharmapuri, former MLA Balka Suman for Vemulawada, and former MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy for Choppadandi.
In addition, senior leaders Gadari Balamallu and Mareddy Srinivas Reddy have been entrusted with overseeing crowd mobilisation, venue management and overall coordination. Party sources said they will remain stationed on the ground to ensure seamless execution of arrangements until the conclusion of the meeting.
