Karimnagar: Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar made it clear that neither the BRS nor its president K Chandrashekhar Rao had any plans to topple the State government.

People elected the Congress party to rule the State for a period of five years. The BRS would also wish the Congress to continue in the power for five years and provide better facilities to the public.

There were no plans of toppling the government. It could be some Congress MLAs who might have such plans, Kamalakar said after inaugurating paddy purchasing centres in Karimnagar rural mandal on Wednesday.

Stating that real-estate business had flourished during the BRS regime, Kamalakar informed that realtors from Mumbai, Delhi as well as foreign countries had invested money in Hyderabad. However, the real-estate sector had slumped after the Congress party came to power.

Realtors were not coming forward to invest as they did not believe in the Congress government and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. Business persons would not dare to invest if the government went ahead with its demolitions and continued abusing Chandrashekhar Rao, he said.

Chandrashekhar Rao, who achieved a separate State, wanted the people to be happy always as they were during the BRS regime. People of the State would be happy if Revanth Reddy followed in the footsteps of the BRS president. However, that was not happening and the people had started revolting against the government.
