Hyderabad: BRS leader Meday Rajeev Sagar lodged a complaint with the Cyber Crime police on false propaganda against him on social media by his political opponents. He condemned use of his name and photograph in a drug-related incident near Chevella, terming it a deliberate attempt to malign his reputation.

Speaking to media after filing the complaint here on Thursday, Rajeev Sagar held the Congress responsible for false propaganda and character assassination of opposition leaders like him for questioning the government’s failures. He said the Congress was resorting to such politically motivated personal attacks to divert public attention from its failed governance and undelivered promises.

Dismissing the claims linking him to the controversial resort party, Rajeev Sagar sought strict legal action against those responsible, including certain Congress-backed social media handles. He vowed to continue questioning the Congress government notwithstanding the false propaganda and also pursue legal remedies against it until justice is served.
