Sangareddy: A police task force raided the residence of BRS leader Devi Prasad in Zaheerabad while he was holding discussions with other BRS leaders, MLA K Manik Rao and former DCMS chairman Malkapuram Shiva Kumar, on Saturday night.

The searches reportedly continued until 2 am on Sunday, but the police did not find anything. The BRS leaders accused the Congress Party of using the police to harass them, claiming the move was prompted by the Congress sensing a BRS victory in the Zaheerabad municipal elections.

According to party sources, the three senior leaders had assembled to discuss preparations for an election campaign meeting of former minister T Harish Rao, scheduled to be held on Monday.
