BRS leaders pay tributes to Telangana armed struggle hero Doddi Komuraiah

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao, senior MLA T Harish Rao, MLC K Kavitha and several others paid rich tributes to Doddi Komuraiah, the first martyr of the Telangana armed peasant struggle, on his death anniversary. They reaffirmed their commitment to upholding Komuraiah’s ideals in today’s Telangana.
Rama Rao hailed Komuraiah as a fearless fighter who laid down his life for land, livelihood, and the liberation of the poor. He said the K Chandrashekhar Rao government honoured Komuraiah by officially observing his birth and death anniversaries, ensuring that future generations remember his spirit and sacrifice.
Harish Rao called Komuraiah the soul of Telangana’s fight for self-rule and remembered his sacrifice as a spark that ignited the aspirations of the people.
While Kavitha termed him a warrior who stood against tyranny and emphasised the need to safeguard Telangana’s hard-earned statehood by drawing inspiration from his legacy.
