BRS leaders slam Congress, mobilise cadres ahead of Khammam local body polls
BRS leaders in Khammam have urged party workers to mobilise support for the upcoming local body elections, criticising the Congress government for failing to deliver on key promises. At a preparatory meeting, senior leaders highlighted issues such as fertiliser shortages and unfulfilled welfare schemes, calling for a strong electoral response.

Khammam: The district BRS leaders have called upon the party ranks to show the party strength in the upcoming local body elections. Rajya Sabha member Vaddiraju Ravichandra, former minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar and former MP Nama Nageswara Rao addressed the activists at Khammam assembly constituency local body election preparatory meeting here on Thursday.
Ajay Kumar said that the Congress government which came to power by making false promises, has failed to supply urea to the farmers. The farmers, including women, were standing in queue lines for days together and they were mocked by the Congress leaders as well as the ministers.
Ex-MP Nageswara Rao stated that the government failed to deliver its election promises to farmers, to unemployed youth and to women. Promises such as scooty for girls and one tola gold to Kalyana Lakshmi beneficiaries were not yet delivered. These issues should be taken to the people to teach the Congress a lesson in the local body elections.
MP Ravichandra said that the previous BRS government ensured fertiliser stocks available for farmers. People were highlighting the failures of the government on social media, which reflects the government’s working style.
BRS city president Pagadala Nagaraju, the party leaders K Nagabhushanam, Gundala Krishna, A Rakesh Reddy, B Nagachandra Reddy, Karnati Krishna, Maqbul, Qamar and others were present.
